About Me

I have been a qualified Counselling Psychologist for over 17 years. After spending 16 years in private practice at the Naturally Yours Health Centre in Bryanston, South Africa, I moved my family and practice to the United Kingdom, in 2020, to continue my life journey as a psychologist, wife and mom.

I believe in balance as the cornerstone of my life and I have integrated this philosophy into my practice. My goal as a clinician is to help my clients live balanced, fuller, healthier and more meaningful lives. I strive to create a collaborative, nurturing, and safe environment, to help my clients identify their personal challenges, find ways to cope with their stressors, access their internal strengths and bring about change.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach is empathic, compassionate, and authentic. I believe that feeling respected, safe, and understood is necessary for my clients to begin their respective therapeutic journeys, and I aspire to create that.

I also take a holistic and integrative approach, based on the belief that physiological, emotional, cognitive, and behavioural systems all have an impact on our relationships, the manifestation of stress and psychopathology, and our ability to process and resolve issues. Whether a client has lost their internal compass or is struggling to find direction, wants to get back on track or move forward in the face of loss, or struggles with mental illness, my priority as a therapist is to select the best therapeutic paradigm – from the wide range of therapeutic competencies I have garnered over the years – and assist clients in bringing balance to their lives, in healing, growth and resilience.

My journey as a psychologist has also led to my own personal and professional growth, and I continue to regularly attend personal therapy and workshops, to better develop my practice and improve on my own professional standards. I believe that people only stop growing when they stop learning, and I never intend to stop learning.
